BEE Impact FUND – How to Nominate

BEE IMPACT FUND MISSION STATEMENT: To support the work of a person or organization that positively impacts honey bees in Montgomery County. A nominee’s reach may be broad, but should have a local benefit.

ANNUAL EVENT: Funds are raised from members and friends of MCBA and are awarded annually

  • April 1 - Nominations close
  • May 1- Awardee Announced
  • December 31 - Fundraising ends
  • January 31 - Fund total announced
  • March - MCBA Member meeting - Awardee presents update on their MCBA sponsored project and how funds were/will be used

TO NOMINATE: MCBA members are invited to nominate an apiculture-involved individual or organization whose work they consider to be of assistance to beekeepers and honey bees. These may be persons/organizations at the beginning of their research careers or established entities and well-known researchers. Nominations are accepted through April 1.
