Steve Cook is a prolific honey bee researcher with many scientific publications.  He currently works in the USDA's Bee Research Lab in Beltsville, MD where he is finishing up a project to help study pesticides' affect on bees - especially the ones that don't outright kill bees at the moment of exposure.  You can read more about this work HERE.
