MCBA Members! Come celebrate Lorenzo Lorraine Langstroth’s 211th birthday (and other seasonal holidays!) in lieu of our December monthly meeting.

We'll have a POT LUCK DINNER and an optional GIFT EXCHANGE.

Bee Safe Rules for the Party

Everyone wishes we could 'return to normal' with face to face meetings. Unfortunately, Covid-19 remains a threat, and meeting in person requires precautions. MCBA will minimally follow government rules and recommendations for safe gatherings. Our precautions may change as the situation warrants, but here are our current rules for attending the party:

  • Only fully vaccinated people may attend the party.
  • Every person, including children, must present a government issued Covid-19 Vaccination Card before they may enter the building. If you have a doctor authorized medical exemption, contact MCBA president Pam Hepp before December 1st to discuss possible options. pphepp@aol.com
  • A mask, covering both nose and mouth, must be worn at all times, except when actively eating.
  • Eating is only permitted while sitting at a table.
  • Food will be served buffet style, and masks must be worn at the buffet, and when walking to and from the buffet.
  • No one who has a positive Covid-19 test after November 23, 2021 should attend the party.
  • No one who, after November 23, 2021, is exposed to a person with Covid-19 should attend the party
  • Anyone who is diagnosed as having Covid-19 between December 9th (the day after the party) and December 16th must report this to MCBA president Pam Hepp pphepp@aol.com so other attendees can be notified of their possible Covid-19 exposure.

Gift Swap!

If you would like to participate in the gift swap, bring a wrapped item (value of up to $20) to add to the fun. Your guests are also welcome to bring a gift and participate. Everyone who brings a wrapped gift will go home with a present brought by someone else.

Food!

The Club will provide tableware, plates, cups, soft drinks, ham and turkey.
Guests are asked to bring one of the following items – enough for 8 to 10 people.

If your last name begins with letters
A thru M, please bring a side dish or a salad
N thru S bring a dessert
T thru Z bring appetizers

Drink!
This is a BYOB event. Meads and wines may be sampled and shared.  If you drink,  please drink responsibly.

Venue:
The owners of the venue are lending us this space because they know that beekeepers are tidy. Please be a good guest and leave no mess.We are all guests at this venue.

Before and After the Party: The RSVP form offers a chance for you to volunteer to help set-up between 5pm and 6pm, and to help clean-up between 8pm and 9pm.
