If you are a beekeeper seeking assistance retrieving own swarm, you must manage the announcement and the responses. Your initial note should include details about the swarm (e.g. your exact location, the swarm's height off ground and who gets to keep the bees - you or the volunteer whose help you are seeking)

No. They are separate sign-ups.
You should join both to be a good beekeeper, plugged into the community.

MCBA Forum + MCBA Club = Smart Beekeeping

Each requires a  SEPARATE SIGN-UP, and you'll want to sign up for both to get full benefits.

The MCBA Forum is a free service provided to everyone ( MCBA members and non-members) .  The MCBA Club  uses the Forum to send out important info for beekeepers, including club meetings, opportunities.

The MCBA Club (Montgomery County Beekeepers Association) is a separate 'sign-up' with a nominal annual membership fee.  MCBA Club provides many services useful to both beekeepers and non-beekeepers.  We organize mentoring, beekeeping classes, public outreach, monthly lectures to improve beekeeping knowledge and skills, loan honey extracting equipment, and publish an extensive website - some of which is accessible only to MCBA Club members. Many MCBA Club members do not keep bees, but join to participate in the beekeeping community and to help support local bees and beekeepers.

BEFORE joining MCBA's Forum, please consider becoming  a member of MCBA's Club. Click   JOIN Montgomery County Beekeepers Association.
