What is the Sentinel Apiary Program?
It is an early warning system to alert you to potential problems due to varroa and nosema in your colonies. Details are

What's required of participants?
May through October, participants inspect selected colonies, enter their data into the app, ship their samples to the
University of MD Honey Bee Lab, and access their monthly report online. They also report which colonies successfully overwintered. Sampling supplies are provided.
How many colonies can you register to receive a sponsorship?
You can register 4 colonies ($300) or 8 colonies ($500). MCBA will cover $150 of the fee. The Bee Informed
Partnership will process six months of varroa samples and 2 months of nosema samples.
Only five (5) MCBA sponsorships are being offered, so apply quickly.
