Please note that there are STILL LOTS of learning opportunities with our club. We have expert speakers teach on honey bee related topics in our monthly meetings, the 2nd Wednesday of each month. Meetings are usually on ZOOM, and always open to the public. You should also join our email FORUM to hear beekeeping-related announcements, and Q&A. Our FORUM is free to all. “Beekeeping 101” begins on Thursday, February 2, 2023

WHAT: Introductory guidance to understanding bees, beekeeping, setting up an apiary, disease/parasite intervention.

COST: $90 Tuition includes a copy of “The Backyard Beekeeper” 4th Edition by Kim Flottum and a personally engraved hive tool.

ZOOM DAYS: February 2, 9, 16, 23, March 2, 9
ZOOM TIMES: 7pm - 9:15pm

FIELD DAY #1: “Introduction to the Bee Yard” Choose either March 25 or March 26 Times TBD
FIELD DAY #2: “Hands On Hive Inspection” Choose either April 1 or April 2 Times TBD

  • Weekly online quizzes will help students review the class materials
  • A final exam will allow them to earn a certificate of completion.
